The vagus nerve is the heart of every lived experience. When we learn how to regulate our nervous system, we change our intrinsic and extrinsic world.

Great read.

Learning to activate my Vagus Nerve has been incredibly helpful over the last few years. I once heard it described as the HIGHWAY of your body, thought that was perfect.

Perfectly stated!

It’s core to my daily process and increasing preference for frequent periods of silence. 🦋

This explanation of energy movement during meditation is exactly what I needed! My body's been doing the shake-and-bake routine during meditation lately, and I've been caught between thinking "I'm connecting to myself so deeply!" and "Did I accidentally download a virus to my nervous system?" 😅

I love how you frame it as essentially a system update.

Our bodies are just clearing out old programming and making room for new information. That white connective tissue as a "superconductor" makes so much sense! No wonder my knee sometimes twitches like it's trying to send a Morse code message to my elbow.

Looking forward to Part II.

Right now I'm in the "hang on for dear ride" phase of my practice, so any guidance on how to surf these waves rather than being tumbled by them would be amazing.

Thank you for normalizing these experiences while still honoring their significance. It's comforting to know I'm not "doing it wrong" when my meditation sometimes looks more like an awkward dance party than a serene Buddha pose!

Imagine the people that don’t understand mental health and just say let it go

That moment has finally transpired and is in full fruition , the odd calming feeling of your nervous system not triggering you , the old you trying to creep back in but your so conscious you know what its doing so you tell it where to go , oh the bliss , welcome to heaven.

Instead of funding markets of homelessness through 501(c)(3) enterprise, we could use assets seized from crimes already committed. Pass it on. Thank you.

Reading this felt like finally getting the cosmic FAQ nobody hands you when your body starts doing the electric worm mid-meditation. Thank you for breaking it down without turning it into spiritual performance art.

The idea that our tissues are like crystal superhighways for stored emotional Wi-Fi? Deliciously weird. And also... it tracks.

Appreciate the reminder not to worship the phenomenon. I’ve definitely caught myself thinking, “If I don’t levitate by Tuesday, am I even healing?” But you’re right—it’s about liberation, not theatrics. Whether it comes as a soft sigh or a full-body holy quake, the energy knows where it needs to go.

Looking forward to Part II, and hoping my connective tissue doesn’t need to file a noise complaint by then.
